Ellesmere Port: Can you help to complete community garden?

TCV (The Conservation Volunteers) and Stamford Street Allotment Society have been working together over the last year to build a wheelchair-accessible community garden where locals can thrive.

A total of £14,625 has been raised to bring the project to life and this will include a range of accessible features such as wheelchair-friendly paths, accessible vegetable bed foundations, and sensory areas such as a pergola, pond, and wildflower garden.

The project is almost complete, but the group is now calling on skilled builders, creative artists and green-thumbed gardeners from the area to lend a hand in the creation of a special section for wheelchair users, children, and people with disabilities.

If you fit the above description, then your support could be key to ensuring that the space is able to open as planned. Volunteers can get involved individually or as part of a corporate group by visiting the TCV website and contact Neil McMahon to register your interest.

Schools and community groups can also contact Stamford Street Allotment if they wish to visit the site, by completing a contact form at: www.stamfordstreetallotment.co.uk/volunteer
